Welcome to Imperial Valley College, home of the Desert Warriors! At IVC, education is more than courses, it’s a pathway to opportunity, inclusion, and lasting change for our students and community.
Nationally recognized with the 2023 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence and the 2025 Carnegie “Opportunity College and University” designation, IVC stands among the top colleges in the nation. With more than 90 degree and certificate programs, strong university partnerships, and innovative workforce initiatives, we prepare students to succeed while strengthening the Imperial Valley.
Looking ahead, our 2030 Vision calls for IVC to grow to 10,000 students, achieve the highest success rates in California, expand transfer opportunities, close achievement gaps, and address regional workforce needs. For every student and community member who steps onto our campus, this vision is also a promise: that IVC will be a place to explore opportunities, achieve educational and career goals, and work together to create a stronger Imperial Valley.

About IVC's Vision 2030 Master Plan
Stay informed with campus messages from Imperial Valley College President Dr. Lennor Johnson. Each update offers insight into campus initiatives, student success stories, upcoming events, and the shared goals guiding IVC’s continued growth. These messages are designed to keep students, employees, and community members connected and informed as we move forward together.
Twice each semester, Imperial Valley College’s President hosts a Virtual Town Hall to provide students and campus community members with direct updates from college leadership. Launched during the 2025 spring semester, these meetings offer valuable insights into key campus developments, available resources for students and employees, and other important topics. Each session concludes with a live Q&A, giving participants the opportunity to engage with IVC leadership and get their questions answered.
Recordings of past Virtual Town Halls are posted here, along with related resources and contact information from guest speakers. Updates on the next scheduled session, including the date, time, and participation details, will also be available on this page.
Stay informed and connected—check back regularly for the latest updates!
